Where do We go?

We go to a place called “Turtle Canyon” - popular place for the turtles to come hang out, eat and get cleaned. The ride takes anywhere between 10-15minutes by boat.

Responsible snorkeling around turtles

  • Keep your distance: Stay at least 10 feet (3 meters) away. If a turtle approaches you, remain still and let it pass. Never chase, touch, or block a turtle.

  • No feeding: Feeding wildlife disrupts their natural behavior and diet and is illegal.

  • Avoid loud splashing and sudden movements: Calm behavior keeps turtles comfortable and reduces stress.

  • Don’t stand on the reef: Reefs and live coral are fragile. Always float or gently fin above without touching.

  • Follow local rules and guide instructions: Marine protected areas have regulations designed to protect honu and other marine life.

Best time to go

  • Mornings often offer calmer water and better visibility.

  • Turtles can be seen year-round, though sightings may vary with weather and tides.
